Manchester Mosque Update

Manchester Mosque

Welcome to the Queen City...

Greg Salts, a Manchester resident, provided us with these pics, and notes the following:

Manchester is quietly experiencing the construction its first Mosque. What most residents do not realize is that the Mosque is going to dominate the skyline once it is completed. Situated on Karatzas avenue on the very site of a former underground Satanic Temple, the Mosque will be plainly visible to anybody driving North on interstate 93 near the 101 split. As of this date, there are no plans for the constructing a minaret with loudspeakers but don't hold your breath neighbors, this addition is a virtual given, especially if the ACLU gets involved...

There used to be a time when Church steeples dominated most small city skylines in America. Until now...

Route 93 & 101 can be plainly seen in the background...

And here is a pic of the mosque in Boston overlooking Malcom X Blvd:

...constructing a minaret with loudspeakers ...this addition is a virtual given, especially if the ACLU gets involved...
I live within 5 miles of two mosques with minarets. I have never, in the 3 years since the last one was completed, heard anything from the loudspeakers in the minarets, if such even exist.

Which American mosques play prayers or calls to prayers, or even music or bells outside over their loudspeakers? (Again, if they even have any oustide.)

What cases are currently pending to allow it?

I don't know how things go in NH, but growing up in the Montana countryside, we had a term for those who make claims they can't or won't support, it's called "talking out your ass."

I will happily eat crow if you can answer both of my questions, relying not on other people's blogs, but on citeable evidence, you know, MSM and court filings and such. I would consider the ACLU's website to be reliable source for evidence that the ACLU is involved in any case.
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/05/us/tension-in-a-michigan-city-over-muslims-call-to-prayer.html I would assume Wonketeria, that you consider the NY Times reliable?
A lot of speculation going on here, and borderline hate mongering. "Situated on Karatzas avenue on the very site of a former underground Satanic Temple" Prove it, please. That's ludicrous. You do realize, Greg, that most Christian Churches in Europe were built on the site of former Pagan Temples, right? That would be nothing new. Mosques were built on churches, and churches on mosques. While I doubt the authenticity of this "Satanic temple" story (none have ever been constructed in Manchester, as far as I know) it would be nothing new. Loudspeakers have NOT been approved for this site, again as far as I know. As far as, "There used to be a time when Church steeples dominated most small city skylines in America. Until now..." They still do, and still will (the same with loud church bells.) If someone wanted to claim that hill for Christ (or Yahweh, or Jehovah, or Krishna, or whomever) they could have bought the land and built there. But they didn't. It's not their fault that Christian Churches are dying ut all over Manchester, nor that many immigrants coming into the city have been Muslim.
