BREAKING NEWS – NH House rejects Gov Lynch’s amended Gay Marriage Bill

by Skip

Details to follow (probably after work).  This is GREAT news!

Senate approved the changes:

The New Hampshire Senate has approved changes Gov. John Lynch demanded to sign legislation to make his state the sixth to allow gay marriage.

The House is to vote on the changes later today. If it adopts them, Gov. John Lynch could sign gay marriage into law as early as this afternoon.

Lynch said last week he wouldn’t sign the legislation without language to better protect churches and their employees against lawsuits if their beliefs preclude them from marrying gays. The Senate added the language on a 14-10 vote Wednesday morning.

The House did not concur 186 – 188.

Great news? How twisted. So much for individual liberty eh? Oh wait, you guys just pick and choose which ones you like rather than supporting it for everybody.
And you say the people on the left are bad. Seems to me there’s plenty of hypocrisy being displayed on all sides.
