The Manchester Tea Party was held in Victory Park (as you can see, perfect weather for a rally!).
The last (and first) time I had been there was during the Presidential Primary season when the ‘Grok was given media credentials for a Hillary Clinton event and things were so staged at the time (and with tight security) that I did not see a couple of real important items.
In effect, if one of Manchester’s own had not been there, we would have never seen this:
One of those men was this guy – Manchester’s Rene Gagnon:
And here is a little bit of the story behind the raising of that flag:
God bless the Greatest Generation who went to war to defend our freedom! It was men like Rene that kept that torch alive for us. Now, as the Tea Party harkons back to the First Generation that set us on that path to Freedom and Liberty, I wish, hope, and pray that we can do what Benjamin Franklin admonished "We have given you a Republic, if you can keep it!".
May we, now, shoulder the responsibility to keep America in that path of freedom that the Founding Fathers enumerated in the Declaration of Independence and in the Constitution.
