And that is the problem – that attitude that someone or some group of people OWE you something. That something that they have worked hard for themselves and their families can be taken from them just for you.
For nothing.
And that is that attitude against which people, the productive people in society, are now rebelling. As I have said many times before, we Americans are a generous and charitable people – far better than any other people in the world. But that generosity is based on a voluntary basis – not forced.
Forced? Not so much – start thinking Tea Parties!

Family who are ‘too fat to work’ say £22,000 worth of benefits is not enough
A family of four with a combined weight of 83 stone [1 stone = 14 pounds, 1,162 lbs -Skip] say they are "too fat to work" and need more than the £22,000 they currently receive in benefits.
Philip Chawner, 53, and his 57-year-old wife Audrey weigh 24st. [336 lb] Their daughter Emma, 19, weighs 17st [238 lb], while her older sister Samantha, 21, weighs 18st [252 lb].
The family from Blackburn claim £22,508 a year [$32,438.53] in benefits, equivalent to the take-home pay from a £30,000 salary.
The Chawners, haven’t worked in 11 years, claim their weight is a hereditary condition and the money they receive is insufficient to live on.
Mr Chawner said: "What we get barely covers the bills and puts food on the table. It’s not our fault we can’t work. We deserve more."
…Emma, said: "I’m a student and don’t have time to exercise" she said "We all want to lose weight to stop the abuse we get in the street, but we don’t know how."
To the last part, honey, it’s simple. Eat less, exercise more. But when one wants an excuse, anything will suffice.
Yes, this story is from Britain – but we see the attitude here as well. I see people like this, that demand that others take care of them. Yes, there certainly are those that require that we DO take care of, but it seems that our standards keep moving lower and lower so that it is easier to be taken care of.
Again, charity forced by Government is not charity; it is not voluntary. And Obama is enabling more of this attitude with the tearing asunder of the welfare reforms that moved 3 million people off the dole and into productive lives. Obama and his Big Government lovers now wish to make them dependent on us, whether we like it or not.
Who is going to pay my mortgage, Mr. President? Who is John Galt?
