SEIU - heh, 12 whole people showed up!

UPDATE: Welcome Instapundit Readers! And thanks to Glenn!

We're not too high on the SEIU and the faux outrage - again, the MSM shows where its heart lives by reporting on this and not on the Tea Parties.  Oh yes, NH will have one on April 15th at Manchester's Victory Park at 5:30 pm

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, let's just pile on!

SEIU

Unions only make up about 9% of the private sector workplace - but a majority of workers in the public sector (which makes one wonder - why?  Is it just that much easier of an environment?).  Anyways, I loved Doug's post about SEIU and then our friend Paul who runs Pun Salad had another one as well.

Seems that the SEIU has a sock puppet group (sorta like the "I'm a Healthcare Voter" canard and the Granite State Progress outfit [heh!]) called "NH Change to Work" that decided that THE thing to do was to go and protest against the Bank of America.

Protesters from ALL over the Seacoast came to show solidarity with the downtrodden victims that cannot live the good life without a union.

Um, no, not a rousing crowd....not a really big group....passing by a throng....ok, how many excited people were there?  Well, Paul, how many people WERE there?  Please - do tell!

PORTSMOUTH -- When Pauline Chabot goes to work as a Child Support Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services every day she doesn't just read about the nation's economic woes in the newspaper or listen to it on the radio.

It's nice to know that a state employee doesn't just read the newspaper or listen to the radio at work.

She sees it up close and personal.

Clichés-R-us.

The Sanbornton resident was one of a dozen working class citizens from all over the Seacoast who gathered in front of the downtown Bank of America Thursday afternoon to not only protest corporate abuses in the banking industry, but to tell Congress to take action now to build an economy that works for everyone.

Gee, they got twelve entire people from all over the Seacoast? And are you wondering how the reporter verified that they were all "working class citizens"? My bet: that's what he was told, and that's what he wrote.

I'd agree with Paul - wide ranging support?

Empirical evidence says "not so much!"  Guess Andy Stern, the head of the SEIU, who is trying to gobble up other unions via hostile takeovers (such a democratic soul...did I mention his REAL socialist leanings?  Perhaps I need to start back in on those folks...).  In fact, it seems that Stern loves to hide his intentions:

What the reporter fails to mention is that "NH Change That Works" is hardly a grassroots organization. In fact, about 30 seconds on Google reveals it to be a completely-owned subsidiary of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

The SEIU is remarkably sleazy, even for a union
. Part of the Illinois Blagojevich scandal involved the SEIU acting as an intermediary between the Obama Administration and Blagojevich; part of the deal was to guarantee the Gov a cushy SEIU-sponsored gig once out of office.

Ah yes, SEIU has decided to play Chicago style politics - NOTHING above board and always trying to play magic (just like another famous politician from Chicago)! It couldn't be above board and honest during the campaign and it looks like it isn't doing it now either...

Obama shock troops - that's for sure.  And you can be SURE that they are for the Employee Free Choice Act.  So, not only does the SEIU want to take the secret ballot away from prospective members.

The worst part of EFCA that gets little notice?  If the Union and the Company can't agree on terms, after 120 days a FEDERAL Arbitrator gets to set the terms.  Got that?  Not to mediate, but to set terms.  And those terms cannot be changed for YEARS!

Think of it - someone who does not know the union, does not know the company, does not know the marketplace, is going to determine how the business is going to be run.

Think of it - how great of a job has the Feds done so far with AIG and Citibank?  Yeah, you're right!  And the union wants the Feds to tell the Company how it is to be stuck with them?

Hey, SEIU -> start thanking the Feds now for putting your members into the unemployment lines!

And always remember this.

You could line up all these government union workers, march them into the sea, and life would go on just fine. Know how they respond to a statement like this? Threaten the people who pay their salaries. And THEN... they think they can demand the public's support.

Take away the MSM MEGAPHONE. Cancel all print and cable media until the 2010 election is over. Now is a great time to hurt them - they are already wounded financially. HOLD A TEA PARTY! Picket your local news station along with the Statehouse. Take pictures of them ignoring you. POST YOUR pics on a blog. We have a voice on the net and we WILL use it to SAVE AMERICA. Contact Young Republicans at a local university to help set up a TEA PARTY. Contact YOUR local office of AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY for help, including inviting local politicians to attend and perhaps even speak. AFP website is: http://www.americansforprosperity.org/
