Democracies can only last and be strong so long as people of good will and faith allow them to exist. Once those with opposite inclinations and intentions assume the reins of power, democratic republics end. Democracies—with not enough willing to protect them—die.

So which country is she talking about?
- The candidate was a member of his country's Socialist Party
- Doesn't mind Third World style voter fraud - in fact, he helped to train them.
- Has no problem manipulating the tax code to get behavior he wants
- Belittles those that produce jobs as 'selfish"
- Has had his staff and supporters attack a civilian for asking an embarrassing question - even to the point of illegally digging up dirt on the questioner.
- Like Hugo Chavez, has banned TV stations and sic'd supporters onto radio shows that have on guests critical to himself
- Governmental supporters willing to prosecute those that publicly disagree with him
- Has denigrated that country's Constitution as it limits what he'll be able to do.
- His close supporters show a willingness to promot a Doctrine that will suppress the ability of his detractors to criticize him and block political dissent.
- Shows disdain and has shown retribution for newspapers that support his opponent.
The country? No, not some Third World banana republic or some tin-pot Soviet style totalitarian despot. Sadly, the U.S.A
