Operation Leper

The long knives are out on the Right and guns have been cleaned and targets are being eyed. One that already (still?) is in the cross-hairs is Sarah Palin.
Now, attacks from the Left were expected during the campaign but it has astonished me that the kvetching and downright nastiness towards her since the election. Frankly, I do not know if it is sour grapes, jealousy, or dirty politics in doing a pre-emptive strike for future campaigns. Whatever it is, it smacks of behavior I used to see with the kids at our daycare when rivalries went ballistic as only two year olds can bring forth. It is uncalled for in adults. Especially those that are trying to trade information for employment and acting rather cowardly. Well, Erick over at RedState has started Operation Leper:
RedState is pleased to announce it is engaging in a special project: Operation Leper.
We're tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin to Carl Cameron and others. Michelle Malkin has the details.
We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you'll see us go to war against those candidates.
It is our expressed intention to make these few people political lepers.
They'll just have to be stuck at CBS with Katie's failed ratings.

The 'Grok does believe, even with her faults (and yes, no one is perfect), Gov. Sarah Palin was an excitement boost to the McCain campaign; she does not merit the vitriol that has been tossed her way. We await her return!
