If one of the most Liberal Presidential candidates in history is also against it, you oughta listen!

We are not in favor of what is being called the Card Check law – the ill named Employee Free Choice Act.  Essentially, one of its main faults is the removal of the private ballot vote when employees are to decide whether or not a union should be representing them.

We here at the ‘Grok are certainly against this (no kidding – for the most part, except for the most egregious of situations, we feel that unions often benefit the union bosses and not necessarily the individual works).  If former Senator McGovern is against it as it is illiberal for his tastes, there really is something wrong with it.

Encourage your politicians, local or federal, to vote against it. Just think of what will happen if Obama and a Democrat controlled Congress and Senate are allowed to get their hands on this. Payback for unions may mean financial ruin for small businesses everywhere. Next step will be the dissolution of the Taft-Hartley Act which made it possible to have right-to-work laws. Without it, if a union gets fifty-on percent of your co-works sign a union card, you WILL have to join the union – and you will have no choice in the matter.
