Our friend Pat (and co-host of Meet The New Press and owner of AnkleBitingPundits) has a new venture that has been open for a while: Now!Hampshire. News of all sorts from NH can be seen there (and if you are interested, you too can do reporting!).
And now it looks like past news as well – as I have written and said before, woe to the old fashioned politicians that are going to be caught by the Internet – think of it as society’s memory bank. If someone said it and if someone recorded it, someone will post it. Like this:
Biden, known for his caustic, shoot-from-the-hip style, had a nasty run-in with a New Hampshire voter during his 1988 presidential campaign, which Biden was later forced to abandon due to a plagiarism scandal.
“I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do,” Biden barked at his citizen inquisitor at a typical New Hampshire house party. He then proceeded to recite his entire curriculum vitae in painful detail.
Looks like Biden didn’t like my home state all that well in campaigning as well…..and the votes he received it because of it shows that if you ignore us, we ignore you. Is this setting the stage for November?
