As a Siberian Husky owner, I will freely admit they always have a smile. But it is a smile of intelligence and they are smart enough to pull the sled in the right direction even if the musher is steering the wrong way. As for GSDs, they're my other favorite dog and I resent that they are always depicted as an aggressor. :) I think a better analogy would be a polar bear and a baby seal (a polar bears favorite snack). I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader as to who is the polar bear and who is the baby seal.
