Meet the New Press radio. It ROCKS! (Which is amazing, because there's not really any music...)

Starting Saturday morning at 9 am!

.
Pat Hynes.mic.Skip Murphy.mic.Doug Lambert
.Pat Hynes                                  Skip Murphy                                  Doug Lambert

As usual, this week's broadcast version of GraniteGrok and AnkleBitingPundits brings an array of items and guests for your consideration-- ALL STARTING AT 9AM! As always, thanks to the technical wizardry and analytical skills of Skip, if you are beyond the broadcast area of Newstalk 1490 WEMJ, simply click here for instructions on how to connect and listen on the Internet via livestream. (Podcasts here)

  • Grant Bosse- NH 2nd CD GOP hopeful checks in to discuss this week's endorsement by GraniteGrok and give us an update on his 50 Days, Fifty Ways to Cut Spending plan.

  • Charlie Bass drops us a line to say hello and talk about the difference between what the Dems have to offer on energy vs. the Republicans, who seem to have many Americans on their side when it comes to drilling.

  • Erick Erickson is a co-founder and the current Editor-in-Chief of RedState.com, the largest conservative community online.  Erick is a former lawyer specializing in corporate transactions and election law.  In addition to his election practice, he has been a Republican political consultant for more than a decade heavily involved in federal, state, and local campaigns. We'll pick his brains on a variety of topics, including why Obama isn't some twenty or more points ahead of McCain in the polls, given the conventional wisdom we've been getting from the mainstream media that 2008 is a year for Democrats. We'll also talk about his speach given at the RightOnline event encouraging bloggers to become activists, not just pundits.

  • Charlie Arlinghaus of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy wrote an excellent piece for the Union Leader about a subject that's long held my interest: the wasteful concept of government-run trains and the subsidies thereof. As in my recent posting on the subject, Charlie questions whether NH can afford to be tossing money at passenger rail, given its historical lack of financial success. We'll also discuss the latest woes in the ongoing disaster that is New Hampshire's budget situation and, time permitting, he'll tell us why NH should follow Sweden's lead (yes, THAT Sweden!) in reforming education

  • Jeb Bradley, candidate for the GOP nomination here in NH's 1st congressional district will join us in the studio to discuss what was behind Friday's GraniteGrok endorsement and why he's got a real shot at taking the seat back from Democrat Carol Shea porter. We'll go down the list of reasons conservative Republicans should be comfortable supporting him for a rematch with the cider-sipping incumbent.

Wow! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you're in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the 'Net here... The best radio (in our humble opinions) anywhere...

as usual your blog also ROCKS, even though I don't live in NH I have a friend up there running for state senate named Fenton Groen in the 6th district. Just wondered if you had heard of him and what you think about his chances. Here is a link to his facebook group (his website isn't up yet) http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=40376885648
Thanks for the kind words, Ethan. I googled Mr. Groen and came up with a nice Foster's story on him. He sounds like our kind of guy-- especially the transparency part! I'm all for businessmen offering their time and talent to self government, as it badly needs good people. Good luck! Here's the link: http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080722/GJNEWS_01/709417412/-1/rss1&source=RSS
