As usual, this week’s broadcast version of GraniteGrok and AnkleBitingPundits brings an array of items and guests for your consideration– ALL STARTING AT 9AM! As always, thanks to the technical wizardry and analytical skills of Skip, if you are beyond the broadcast area of Newstalk 1490 WEMJ, simply click here for instructions on how to connect and listen on the Internet via livestream. (Podcasts here)

  • 2nd CD Republican hopeful Grant Bosse checks in. Endorsed by the ‘Grok, this not-so longshot candidate has left more than one person with a better than expected assessment following the chance to meet or hear him. "He’s remarkably good on the stump," said one insider to me some time back during a phone conversation. In addition to his stances on all of the important issues of the day, Skip and I really like his embrace of the New Media and his ability to get the most bang for the campaign buck. "I might be outspent, but I won’t be outworked," said Grant at the CNHT picnic last month. We’ll get an update on his 50 Days, Fifty Ways to Cut Spending plan. The Union Leader, while not endorsing him, said "Grant Bosse, former aide to Sen. John Sununu, has an impressive political mind. He would make an excellent representative one day. " We disagree— That day is NOW!
  • 1st CD Republican Jeb Bradley— also endorsed by the ‘Grok— reports on the home stretch of the primary season. Despite repeated attempts at distorting his record while in Congress by his Republican opponent, Jeb soldiers on and is looking like the closest thing to a sure bet at recovering the House seat presently held by ultra-liberal, Democrat Carol Shea Porter…
  • Jean "Mike" Coutu joins us one more time to preview this year’s Live Free or Die Rally which features, among other things, live music, camping, cannon blasts and, of course, political discourse– you know, our kind of event. Mike is a member of Citizens Alliance Against Creepy Government (CAACP) and is active in local government and promoting the use of the Right to Know law.
  • Randal O’Toole, AKA the "Anti-Planner", is author of The Best Laid Plans: How Government Planning Harms Your Quality of Life, Your Pocketbook, and Your Future. In his second appearance on MTNP radio, Mr. O’Toole will discuss, among several items, the latest push to use taxpayer $$ to subsidize commuter rail here in the Granite State. Are we going to get "core pedestrian zones" here? Unlike Michael Dukakis, who claims "roads don’t work," the AntiPlanner believes the answer to transportation needs is MORE lanes of highway. We LIKE that!
  • Time permitting, we’ll discuss the concept of regional law enforcement groups trending paramilitary, with some even wearing masks during the conduct of duty. This might wash in Putin’s Russia, but not here…
Wow! It all starts at 9AM EST Saturday. Tune in if you’re in Central NH at NewsTalk 1490AM WEMJ or live on the ‘Net here… The best radio (in our humble opinions) anywhere…

[ * SUMMER BONUS: Click the "continue reading…" link at the bottom of this post to view the alternative promo photo originally planned for this week’s program. Much like the famed Beatles "butcher alblum" cover, banned by the powers that be due to the sensibilities of the time, we decided the pic was just too much for some of "The One’s" adoring fans– you know, a safety issue. Because this is the age of the Internet, that doesn’t mean you can’t see the good stuff, however Wink— should you choose. So click on, and view the MTNP "dog days of summer" promo pic deemed too "racy" for our times… sure to be legend like like the Fab Four’s "Yesterday and Today".]
