Gay Pride Parade
MassResistance photo of youths marching in Boston parade

As reported by MassResistance, last Saturday

was homosexual "Youth Pride Day" in Boston, run by the tax-funded Massachusetts Commission on Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender Youth. It included a "celebration" on the Boston Common followed by a parade past the State House and a "transgender prom" that evening at Boston City Hall.

Got that? AT BOSTON CITY HALL! Several years ago, my wife and I had tickets to a play in Boston. While there, we noticed that everywhere we went, the lamp posts had rainbow flag-banners proclaiming it to be some sort of city-wide gay celebration. Upon investigating we discovered that there is, in fact, a large annual event that has gone on for many years in that city, and yes, the city and its taxpayers are the lead sponsor. So therefore, to learn of a "transgender prom" happening at City Hall shouldn't be surprising. Don't confuse "Youth Pride Day" with the weeklong "celebration", however, because this year's Boston Pride Week doesn't even start till June 6th. Apparently this youth event is like a bonus. I guess you can't celebrate this stuff enough.

OneNewsNow reports

Children were bused in from all over Massachusetts to take part in the "youth pride day" event that featured a parade in Boston, speeches, special awards, and a transgender ball at Boston's city hall.

Brian Camenker, head of the Massachusetts based pro-family group MassResistance, says the homosexual youth rally was organized using taxpayer money. "And it was run by the state-funded organization called the Massachusetts Commission on Gay\Lesbian\Bi-sexual and Transgender Youth  – which was created by the legislature and uses hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money," Camenker contends.

And this:

Camenker says at one point, the crowd got violent when they spotted photographers from MassResistance. "They claimed that by our taking pictures and by putting them on our website that we were hurting the kids because their parents didn't know that they were there and they would be 'outed,'" Camenker explains.

Yet the event is created, funded, and organize by adults-- helping kids do something that, as shown by the above passage, they obviously don't want their parents to know about. Nice. Real nice.

Oh, and one other good point to ponder-- While state laws everywhere now require a background check for adults that volunteer for children (my wife had to do this to teach CCD at our Church), MassResistance documents the fact that, for this event, those rules need not apply. I suppose that makes sense. Why would anyone think that there would be dangerous adults in this group?

I'm generally willing to live and let live on this issue, but taxpayer dollars? And adults exploitng children? It strikes me that the organizers' names belong on the predator lists!
