« Dems are whining about the economy? | Main | Radio Interview with Congressman McCotter discussing his bill to stop President Bush from attending the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games hosted by the Chicoms. »

No surprise here!

Too often, Liberals believe that the "common good" outweighs any argument that it isn't their money to spend - especially when it isn't earned by them.  Skinflint, me?  No - because if given free reign, they would take a good chunk more (and I am quite sure that many would go for broke - and make most of us broke).

After all, it's all for children, right?  Oops, wrong topic - it's all for "social justice" and "wealth equality", right? Okay, a bit of funniness there (sure, why not make up a word!).  And yes, we need government, and yes we ALL should be paying for it (and I believe, those at both ends of the spectrum).

Yes, there are needs, but I have never bought into the notion that government always has to get bigger - never smaller (DCE and I certainly agree on this!)

So how does one keep government in check?  By politicians being mindful that the money they spend is not their own.  Sadly, NH's two Congressman, Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes, have gotten really bad marks in doing so:

                      NEW HAMPSHIRE

Hodes .....................F...............5%
Shea-Porter .............F...............5%
State Average ...........................5%

Heck, they're worse than most of the Dems in Congress (Dem House avg - 6%)!  The NTU key code - <16% is BIG SPENDER.  Heck, given that the Dems here in NH boosted spending 17.5% in ONE YEAR of taking over, it shows a Democrat value, not a NH value.

Oh, our Republican Senators?

                        NEW HAMPSHIRE

Gregg .....................B+ ..........78%
Sununu....................B+ ..........71%
State Average .........................74%

>80% gets a rating of Taxpayer's Friend - Gregg and Sununu rated Good.

So, who really is watching out for the ordinary Joe and Jane Sixpack taxpayer?

Yeah, I knew you knew.....
