« McCain's CPAC Speech. The turning point? | Main | Hey honey, I know what you can get me for my birthday! »

Shaheen - already tainted fruit. Thanks Billy!

It has been a joy to watch the Dems immolate themselves on the pyres that they have built for themselves - identity politics.  While I am beside myself because it is another PC way to yank out the bricks that hold America together, I am rather enjoying watching the two main camps beat each other over the heads with these clubs.  I especially love it due to the backfire onto the Clintons.  Yes, that old adage of "live by the sword, die by the sword" may once reign supreme in this election.

So much the better for us (and a warning to our candidates - you put your toes into this poisoned pool - get out of it now!)!

Witness how large and swift the backlash has become from Bill's utterances and racial innuendos against Obama - Super Tuesday did not allow Hillary to drop kick Obama out for the count.  Rather, Bill's rather callous remarks, injecting the race card into the contest, has show the Clinton machine for what it is - conniving, calculating, and only concerned with with power and winning.  And allowed Obama to gain support from those tired of the same Clinton machinations.

She is appealing to the feminists and single woman.  Blacks and others are now flocking to Obama.  And Team Billary have only themselves to blame.  I love it!

And of course, Billy Shaheen just couldn't resist chiming in with the slander thrown Obama's way with the drug charges.  Accident?  Hardly - nothing like that at that level is ever an accident - especially when Mark Penn, a Hillary Sr. aide, kept it going.

Thus, what kind of dirty tricks will Shaheen be doing in New Hampshire?  Given their actions trying to help Hillary, what will they bring to the table?  Will she and her husband use the Clinton machine tactics here (er, seeing that Kathy Sullivan is their campaign manager, what do you think?)?

From Fosters:

The damage caused by the Clintons' campaign not only destroys the former president's legacy but also rubs off on Shaheen, should one Clinton actually become the nominee. The link is anything but positive for Shaheen. Obama has a lot of supporters in New Hampshire who are angry at the machine, and that cannot help Shaheen.

[snip]

Both Hillary Clinton and Jeanne Shaheen depend on an aura of inevitability. And they are both widely recognized as the ultimate party establishment candidates.

There are a heck of a lot more voters and activists than there are lock-step party insiders. People wearing Shaheen stickers at events have whispered to me that while they have to keep up appearances because of the fearsome Shaheen Machine, in the private voting booth they'll do what they want.

Then there's the blogosphere. Here's one sample entry: "Most Obama supporters are very mad ... Not only are they going to cast their vote against Hillary but also cast their vote against the former governor of NH [who] is running for a senate seat."

Even if they win their party nominations, there could be a heavy price the Clintons and Shaheens have to pay for demonizing the much-loved and respected Barack Obama.

The good thing for us is that Bill just can't help himself.  The good thing is that Billy tried to pull a Bill.  Will he be able to help himself? Will she be able to help herself because of Bill and Hill and Billy?

Identity politics, and innuendos, and whispers - coming home to roost!   Yee-haw!
