Former Laconia Mayor Thomas A Tardif drops by the studio to discuss the latest in the Belknap County Convention’s actions regarding the Right-to-Know law, the appointment process for the latest County officer vacancy, and the budget. [Citizen story here] It has been years, it seems, since anybody checked into what is happening on the County level. As reported on page 1 of Friday’s Daily Sun, and here in the Citizen, the County will be taking even more money this year from property tax payers to fund their various activities. It’s time to give them the scrutiny they so badly need. We’ll also talk about the various Right-to-Know law changes being proposed for this year in Concord. We’ll look at who’s behind them and what they are trying to do. (Hint: It’s not helpful to ordinary citizens)

Steven Smith is the "Special Projects Coordinator" for Fred08 NH. Says Steve, "Last May, I hooked up with a national grassroots group called the FredHeads. We started organizations in over 30 states, many of which have merged into the campaign now. I have no prior political experience, although I’ve always followed elections and politics closely." And then he wrote this, which, well, how could we not find common cause with such sentiment: "Some people watch football… I watch elections." Us too! We’ll get the latest on the Thompson campaign and how things look past NH.
