Wings of Freedom
From time to time, Skip has been wont to put pictures here of what he likes to call "jet goodness." Whether it's jet powered luges, or pictures of jets, he just loves 'em all. Me? I think they're cool, and, if we're talkin' jets, I am partial to the ME262. That being said, before there were jets, there were the prop jobs. And what machines they were! With a name like "Flying Fortress" or "Liberator," nothing was more awesome back in the day... The day being World War 2, of course. You know-- Back when we pounded our enemies to dust whenever we could. Not jets here, just good ole' fashioned "bomber goodness!"

For a couple days this week, these old warbirds are here in the Lakes Region of NH at the Laconia airport as part of the "Wings of Freedom" tour. You can visit and go through the planes, or even take a ride on one (for a fee). This flying museum is visiting over 130 different airports on this year's tour. Click here for more info.
