These are not good days for the McCain campaign…

Said Republican GOP presidential wannabee Ron Paul, who, according to ABC News’ "Political Radar" blog, has more campaign cash on hand than Senator John McCain:

"I think some of the candidates are on the down-slope, and we’re on the up-slope,"

Heh! You think so? Again, from ABC’s Political Radar:
Republican Ron Paul tells ABC News that he has an impressive $2.4 million in cash on hand after raising an equal amount during the second quarter, putting him ahead of one-time Republican frontrunner John McCain, who reported this week he has only $2 million in the bank. 
I don’t know what it means for Ron Paul’s chances at the nomination, but I think I know what it means for McCain, and, as I wrote the other day, why this has happened to him. Where are all the people that said Americans don’t really care about the illegal immigration issue? [insert cricket chirp sounds here...]
