The new face of the party

I have friends that are Democrats. I'd venture a guess that many of them can best be described as "Reagan Democrats", or, as the more up to date term goes, "blue dog" Democrats. You know the type- they come from a family of long-time Democrats. Proud to have won WWII. They rooted for America during the Cold War. Some of these Democratic friends might even be pro-life to a certain extent and, believe it or not, actually want us to WIN the current war we are fighting. Secretly, I'm sure these friends of mine probably wish the Howard Dean/ MoveOn.org crowd would do just that: move on.
.
With all that being said, I'm sure that these friends of mine, these somewhat conservative-type Democrats must find themselves in an awkward position as they consider who their chosen Party has picked to lead NH Democrats: Ray Buckley. And they didn't just "pick" him, either. No, as the Union Leader reports, they bent over backwards to "land" this fish:
In order to elect Buckley, Democrats had to amend their state party constitution to allow write-in votes. They did just that by a unanimous vote at the start of the day's business.
Buckley then recieved 109 write-in votes, while his opponent, who appeared on the ballot, got 17 and another who withdrew got 6. The Dems overwhelmingly chose their guy, Ray Buckley.
.
I'm glad the NH Democratic Party has chosen Buckley as their standardbearer. It may help NHerites better understand what they bargain for when they elect Dems to vital positions in the state government. He may cause the thinking voter to think twice before casting a ballot for a member of "Buckley's Party".
.
As for my "blue-dog" friends, I would encourage them to view this video, if they haven't already, and extend an invitation to cross the aisle and join the GOP. It's not like they've been much different than the Dems on many state issues, but at least as Republicans, my friends won't suffer the embarassment of flipping on the TV and seeing their "leader", an embarassment to party and state...

Ray Buckley is the new face of the democrats in the country. Although gay, which is no longer a stigma, the videos on youtube will provide republicans with plenty of ammunition to beat on presidential candidates who associate with him. A recent look at the NH democratic web site shows hunderds of pictures of Hillary Clinton with people, not one is with Ray Buckley. Buckley has earned hundreds of enemies in NH, and not all of them are republican. His personal attacks and creepy lifestyle have made him the butt of jokes and attacks from everwhere. The sttae's largest newspaper called for him to step out of the race. Stay tuned.
Beyond what Buckley is think of this: This creepy, nasty, campiagn animal will be the first face of the Democrat Party many young idealistic people will meet when they first get involved with politics. For those with his inclinations it may be fun. But as for decent people. He will chase away the best and brightest of his party's future.
Regarding his comments about U.S. citizens protesting Gov. spending and Taxes, Mr. Buckley should start reading his license plate more often. Live free, or he along with moveon.org, and Dean should move on out of these United States.
What will the Dem's come up with next? Another little catch phrase in their paradigm of 'accusing' the kettle of being black. Yes I said "black". For those of you who don't get it, that is NOT racist. It's an expression and I am NOT referring to the President. When Dem's & Lib's protested and made a nuissance of themselves on national television we all thought ok, another concerned citizen who has the right to their opinion. Today, we conservatives are accused of being "conspiracists" and the like. Our opinions DO NOT matter any more since the Dem's have taken over. They are behaving like a first grade class that locked their substitute teacher in a closet. "milk and cookies for everyone! Who needs education! We have the right!" But you see, you don't have the right. You don't have the right to step on other people's rights. You don't have the right to FORCE others into your beliefs. This is where you Dem's and Obama are failing us. Wake up! You may not like what's coming your way if you continue to take our rights away.
