GraniteGrok: Nothing stops these Moms!

As AlGore's environmental acolytes marched through a March 17th snowstorm in protest of global-warming, another group of dedicated people braved the elements in the name of a far more worthy and important cause.

The Blue and Gold Star Mothers of NH's "Gathering of Mothers Who are Supporting the Gathering of Eagles in D.C." went off as planned despite the late winter blizzard. Joined by members of the Northeast Network POW/MIA and Rolling Thunder, they recited the Pledge of Allegiance, sang patriotic songs, and marched in solidarity with the DC gathering, as well as in support of our troops to victory. Despite the cold, we had a great turnout for the Blue Star and Gold Star Moms Supporting our Troops to Victory - we stood in Concord for those that were in Washington DC - Eagles - Past, Present, and Future. To all of you that got the word out through print, radio, etc. - Thank You!!! For those that wanted to be there but could not because of weather - you were missed, but we know wherever you were you were "standing with us". Thank you again for all your support and prayers....it is people like all of you that know the importance of what our sons, husbands, daughters, mothers, etc. are doing to keep us safer. May GOD bless them and America.

Imagine being a soldier far away in the desert and seeing this? How can it NOT brighten their day?

The group gathers in support of the Gathering of Eagles in DC, our brave troops, and those who are POW and/or MIA.

Bob Jones and friend reminding everyone that we must NEVER, EVER forget or give up on those who haven't returned...

Great site... beautiful gathering... even in the cold weather. At least it proves that Gore's Global Warming scare ain't much either... (* CHUCKLE *)

WOW! I am the webmaster over at GOE and I am just now hearing about this. I am so sorry we missed it! WTG, you guys. I have posted a shout out to you on the front page of GOE. Job well done - and so motivating for the rest of us! Especially us geeks who are buried under a mountain of minutiae. I am re-invigorated!

Greetings from a rainy day in Tampa. So happy to know that the whole state of NH hasn't turned into Turncoats per my home state of Vermont. Vermont has turned so Blue the Maple trees are going to start producing blue ones! Here in Florida I am about ready to cover my Vermont license plates...for security reasons. Wished I had known about the GOE gathering in DC, before it happened as I would have joined. I am just an aging ex-Army medic who was stationed at Walter Reed and then in Germany with a mechanized infantry unit for 1-1/2 years. On my trips back and forth from Vermont to Florida, I try to stop in at the hospital and visit the wounded. Have done this three times since I was discharged in 1965. I believe in the Iraqi War and I support the troops all the way! Oh, one more thing...I used to live in NH for many years, both in Concord and North Conway. Thanks for keeping up the battle against the doves, as we are in a war that is not going to end anytime soon. Nathan Adams
