No way I could make this one up....

I've seen sit-ins. I have heard of "die-ins", and walks, and speeches, and marches, and drum circles, and meditations, and sing-ins, and confrontations and riots....all for peace.  Almost everything under the sun has been used for one reason or another by Leftists to "bring awareness" or stop this or encourage that.....you get the idea.

Notice I used the word "almost".  Not in my wildest dreams (or nightmares) would I EVER have thought about this methodology to bring about peace in the world:

Anti-War Activists Plan "Global Orgasm for Peace"

ONLY in San Francisco!

(CBS/AP) SAN FRANCISCO Two peace activists have planned a massive anti-war demonstration for the first day of winter.
But they don't want you marching in the streets. They'd much rather you just stay home.
The Global Orgasm for Peace was conceived by Donna Sheehan, 76, and Paul Reffell, 55, whose immodest goal is for everyone in the world to have an orgasm Dec. 22 while focusing on world peace.
"The orgasm gives out an incredible feeling of peace during it and after it," Reffell said Sunday. "Your mind is like a blank. It's like a meditative state. And mass meditations have been shown to make a change."

Make a change?  In whom?  For what? Maybe I just don't get out much, but I tend to doubt this. Meditation can make a difference, but only for those that are meditating.  And, wouldn't it depend on what subject matter upon which they were meditating?  And while Mr. Reffell's observation is correct for an individual, I doubt it is going to have much effect on anyone else...

And something tells me that picking on the Winter Solstice that something else might be in play here as well....but darned if I can figure it out other than some pagan rite....

The couple are no strangers to sex and social activism. Sheehan, no relation to anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, brought together nearly 50 women in 2002 who stripped naked and spelled out the word "Peace."
The stunt spawned a mini-movement called Baring Witness that led to similar unclothed demonstrations worldwide.

Sorry, but seeing 50 naked women spelling ANY word is not going to have much of an impact....except for those that wish to see naked women.  Remember - this is not a "girlie" magazine photo shoot - I give up the arguement that IF the bods are in shape - maybe.  Ill-shaped - the word that comes to mind is certainly not "peace" (er, try eeuuhhh, digust, et al).

By promoting what they hope to be a synchronized global orgasm, they hope to get people to channel their sexual energy into something more positive.

Sorry....that type of energy is meant for....what it is meant for!

The couple said interest appears strong, with 26,000 hits a day to their Web site, www.globalorgasm.org.

"The dream is to have everyone in the world (take part)," Reffell said. "And if that means laying down your gun for a few minutes, then hey, all the better."

I think this is more of "are they really serious" amazement type of curiosity in going to that web site.  As my mom used to say "it takes all kinds".

No, Mom, not this kind.....
