More than a few have noticed…

If you’ve been asleep most of the week, the Democrats won the election. I think it is fair to say that the nation’s policy in Iraq will change, and drastically.  Many liberals believe that we are not at war, that this is merely a police action, or that the aim is just to get Osama Bin Laden.  Fr’instance, this is what the soon-to-be-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said:

"…not a war to be won, but a situation to be managed."

I just cringe.  And so should the rest of us.

Again, I think we, and the West in general, just has it’s collective head in the sand concerning Islamofascism in a lot of ways.  Yeah, aviation security is better, our intelligence and security forces are looking in the right directions…

But are our politicians?  And are they marshalling the general public for this?  We continue to hear radical islamists in countries everywhere cry "Death to America", "Death to Israel", "Death to those that insult Islam" (insult = even the slightest criticism of Arab or Islamic culture or actions).  We see the creep of the push of Shar’ia law and the use of political correctness to subvert our own culture.

With all that, how come very little is being made that those that have sworn us harm are rejoicing that the Democrats have won and that President Bush has been "shamed"?  Have you noticed what the leaders (within and outside of government) have said in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, Hamas, Hezbullah, Al Queda, Syria, Iran (I can keep on going if you want)?  Europe – the appeasment crowd?

And what do you think it means when our enemies are happy that those that wish to pull back and retreat have the advantage?  Do they know something that the Dems "aren’t getting" – or are unwilling to face?
