Wait, this is a Partial List of Federal Depts and Agencies?

Point of order on the “shutdown”. So we’ve heard the denominator of the shutdown produces 83% (or 87% somewhere in there) of the gov that’s shutdown.  So, what comprises that denominator? What departments, agencies, committees does that entail, really. Well, Matt Walsh compiled a partial list from USA.GOV. Take a look below.  But if you’re …

Alexa Ranking Tells Us All About Healthcare.gov

The Healthcare.gov Alexa ranking is 400.  So after two years and $634,000,000.00 dollars (so far) Perez Hilton’s website (which probably cost taxpayers nothing) ranks 55 spots higher than Healthcare.gov. Per Alexa, http://t.co/OIeuSF6nev is ranked 55 spots below Perez Hilton. — David Burge (@iowahawkblog) October 10, 2013

Nashua Elementary School Bans “Tag”

AP Charlotte Avenue Elementary School Principal Patricia Beaulieu posted a letter on the school’s website last week informing parents of the school’s safety policies.  She says while “tag” may seem innocent enough, it has been banned in many schools because of injuries. Just a side note.  Other names for “tag” include, running,  exercise, and socialization.  …

Was Al Gore Anywhere Near South Dakota Last Weekend?

Four people died.  An estimated 75,000 cattle were killed.  Records were broken.   Sounds like an environmental disaster. And it was only a few days ago.  You didn’t hear? One would think the death of 75,000 cows by upwards of five feet of snow might get some national attention, but as one blogger observed, it has …

I’ve been prodding the left to submit state level bills on enhancing background checks—we already have them so any more would be “enhancing” the ones we have–and we finally have some Democrats stepping up to the plate. 2014-H-2269-R title: requiring background checks for firearm sales. Sponsors: (Prime)E. Elaine Andrews-Ahearn 2014-S-2607-R title: relative to criminal background …

Hollywood Rip Ride Rock-it Roller-Coaster Stops – Riders Stuck for two hours- Vertically

This is one kick-ass coaster, a feature at Universal studios in Orlando. I’ve been on it. It’s a gas. But I would not want to have been trapped looking up on the first ascent, a 17 story climb straight up before a high-speed vertical descent. The people waiting in line were likley a mix of …

The Democrat Position on Funding the Government is WHAT!?

Obama – “Republicans must come to a deal to fund the entire government” Yeah. There’s a name for that.  It’s called a Budget! House Republicans have produced several in recent years, all of them scuttled or shelved by Harry Reid, Obama’s anointed head-poo bah for the “shutdown” caucus, and leader in the same Democrat Senate …
